When the trailer for Star Trek: Picard dropped, we had our booth in the Lucasfilm Pavilion at the 2019 San Diego Comic Convention to give a preview of our initial design of an upcoming Star Wars-themed PC. There was one single shot of the Borg cube, and a screenshot of this alone was all that we had and what we used to design & create the prototype (this is another fun story altogether) for the Star Trek: Picard Borg Cube ATX PC you see today. If you’ll have us, let's delve together into the process of creating one of our masterpieces.

At the heart of the Star Trek: Picard Borg Cube ATX PC is a carefully selected set of foundational parts. The system has high-performance components, including a powerful CPU, ample RAM, and a fast SSD. These parts ensure that the PC delivers exceptional performance and can easily handle demanding tasks. Additionally, the PC is designed with optimal cooling in mind, featuring strategically placed fans and cooling to keep temperatures in check during intensive usage. If you’re getting ready to face the horde, this machine will be your trusty steed.

Contrary to popular belief, our Borg Cube PCs are not 3D-printed. While 3D printing is used for design and early prototypes, the cases that make their way home are made using an entirely different process. The "Borg shell" of each case is constructed using injection-molded Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) made here in the USA, and parts made in-house with cast acrylic. These materials together provide durability and a sleek finish to the case. The ATX models feature an aluminum and acrylic chassis, while the ITX models have an acrylic chassis. The chassis uses an engraved aluminum backplate, while the bottomplate is made with cast acrylic, to allow for lighting effects to illuminate from beneath the case. Altogether, the result is a visually stunning and sturdy case that perfectly captures the essence of the reclaimed Borg Cube.

One of the exciting aspects of our Borg Cube PC is the level of customization available. Thanks to our team of artistic nerds who are passionate about what we make, CherryTree offers various customization options to tailor their PC build to individual preferences. Customers can choose from different hardware configurations, including the mainboard, CPU, GPU, and storage options, allowing them to build a system that meets their specific needs. Furthermore, customers have taken customization to the next level by personalizing their PCs even further. For example, one customer named Jenn has created a Borg Queen Pod, adding her own unique touch to the already impressive design.

The CherryTree Star Trek: Picard Borg Cube ATX PC is a true work of art that combines the iconic design of the Artifact Borg Cube with powerful hardware. The careful selection of foundational parts ensures exceptional performance, while the case provides durability and visual appeal. With in-house and customer customization options combined, each PC becomes a truly unique masterpiece. Whether you're a Star Trek fan or a tech enthusiast, this PC is sure to turn heads and provide an extraordinary computing experience.
